ORV accident under investigation (WLUC Marquette)

An Escanaba woman suffered a broken collarbone. Posted: Monday, May 26, 2008 at 8:14 p.m. WELLS TOWNSHIP -- An ORV accident early Sunday morning has left one woman with a broken collarbone.

Fatal traffic accident reported (The Mining Journal)

ESCANABA ? The Delta County Sheriff?s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident in Wells Township. The accident happened Saturday around noon on U.S. 2 near White?s Grocery, police said. Michigan State Police accident investigators were on the scene of the crash, but no further information was available as of press time.

Daily Press staff snags five in award contests (The Escanaba Daily Press)

ESCANABA - The Daily Press has received four Good News Awards and one Michigan Associated Press Managing Editors Association Award. Good News Awards are given out by a group of Christian churches in the Upper Peninsula.
