A retired judge has been appointed acting chief judge of the Macomb County Probate Court. The Michigan Supreme Court appointed Judge Kenneth N. Sanborn, a former circuit court judge in Macomb County, to oversee the court in the wake of an audit that found the court was not operating properly.
